Can you believe it, yet another snow forecast for this evening?  This semester continues to bring challenges with drivers  forced to negotiate snow mountains, which once beautiful-  are now reduced to dirty piles of funky ice.  We’re hangin but dreaming of warmer climes.  One good sign my orchid is beginning to flower.

2010 began with some killer storms, two of them blizzards, which delayed the opening of the new semester by a few days.  I’m looking forward to this semester and am especially excited about my new class “Feminisms & the African Diaspora” which is cross listed with Black American Studies and the English Department.
